Screw compressor oil is one of the most important components for its smooth and long service life. It is recommended to change the compressor oil every 2000 hours, however, there are exceptions and depending on the operating conditions of the compressor, it is possible for the oil to run for 1000 to 4000 hours. You may be wondering why there is such a big difference, it depends on the level of working environment pollution, for example: if your screw compressor works in a meat or pharmaceutical company where the level of pollution is minimized, it is possible after the first service (after 2000 hours) to change the time and set the time back At 3000 hours, and even at 4000 hours in case of satisfactory conditions. If the screw compressor is operating in cement, woodworking or heavy-duty conditions, our engineers will initially set the time back to 1000 hours and after the first service, our engineers will assess the condition and set a subsequent service interval. Any reversal change or recommendation is agreed with the customer.

There are synthetic oils that work up to 8000 hours, such oils are recommended only in an environment of ideal cleanliness, however, there is a great risk that by 8000 hours the air filter will not be able to trap dust particles and they will inevitably mix with the oil through the suction collector, which will inevitably cause blockage. To imagine, 8000 hours is about 1 year of uninterrupted operation and during 1 year of uninterrupted operation of our car without replacing the air filter or oil, the car engine will definitely betray us.
