Supplying it from cylinders means constant logistics, storage of high-pressure cylinders, and the risk of running out at peak load. The pandemic made that risk unmistakably clear.<\/p>\n<p>One of Georgia&#8217;s largest oxygen generator projects was carried out at the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, with the goal of making the clinic fully self-sufficient in oxygen.<\/p>\n\n<h2>The solution \u2014 a complete medical oxygen system<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Oxygen generator<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Screw air compressor<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oil-free compressor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Air dryer<\/li>\n<li>Air filtration system<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activated carbon tower<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Aluminium pipework<\/li>\n<li>Air and oxygen receivers<\/li>\n<li><strong>Automatic oxygen changeover panel<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2>Why three elements in particular<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The oil-free compressor.<\/strong> Medical gas reaches the patient directly, so oil vapour in the air path is unacceptable. An oil-free machine eliminates that risk by design rather than by filtration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The activated carbon tower.<\/strong> A column of activated carbon captures hydrocarbons and odours that filters can miss, because those contaminants are in the gas phase. For medical oxygen this is a mandatory stage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The automatic changeover panel.<\/strong> It ensures that when the generator stops for maintenance, the system switches automatically to the backup source.
