Why the carbon tower is mandatory
An oxygen generator works from atmospheric air, and everything in that air comes in with it: oil vapour, hydrocarbons, odours.
The activated carbon tower captures exactly those organic compounds, the ones a mechanical filter cannot catch because they are in the gas phase. In medical oxygen, which the patient breathes directly, this is not a nice-to-have but a required stage.
The order of the chain is equally deliberate: compressor, then dryer for moisture, then line filters for particles and oil aerosol, then the carbon tower for vapours and odours, then the generator. Each stage protects the next, and together they protect the generator’s zeolite sieve, which is the most expensive component to replace.
The result
The clinic has an autonomous oxygen source delivering 41 m³/h, with complete air preparation.
