Nitrogen Generators

Nitrogen generators separate nitrogen molecules from the oxygen molecules present in compressed air, resulting in a purified supply of nitrogen. These systems are used for industrial, laboratory, and backup purposes.

Nitrogen generation is possible with a membrane nitrogen generator or a PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen generator connected to a compressor.

Why Nitrogen Generators?

In addition to promising high purity levels (95-99.999%) and 24/7 availability, it is also worth noting that a nitrogen generator is a highly safe, economical, and ecological solution.

It allows companies to control how much nitrogen they want to produce, at what pressure, and with what level of purity. They are no longer subject to market price fluctuations, save on transportation costs, and prevent downtime.

At the same time, businesses producing their own nitrogen do not have to face the safety risks associated with using high-pressure cylinders, they do not experience losses, and do not have to return high-pressure cylinders that can never be completely emptied.

IESCO Offers:

🔵 Inmatec nitrogen generators, which, like Inmatec's oxygen generators, use PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) and membrane technologies. Suitable for the food industry, laser cutting, medicine, and electronics manufacturing.

🔵 Omega Air nitrogen generators, which stand out for their compactness and low costs. Available as both PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) and membrane technology models. Ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises: food, pharmacy, laser cutting, and chemical production.

Nitrogen Generator FAQ

What nitrogen purity does my industry need?

Food packaging and winemaking are usually fine with 99–99.9%, while laser cutting and electronics require up to 99.999%. The higher the purity, the more air and energy it takes — so buying more purity than you need is wasted money.

PSA generator or cylinders — which is better?

If you use nitrogen regularly, your own PSA generator typically pays for itself within 1-2 years compared to cylinders — no more transport costs, cylinder rental or supply dependence; you have nitrogen on site 24/7.

What does a PSA nitrogen generator need to run?

A properly treated compressed air line: compressor, dryer, filters and receiver tanks. Our ISO 8573-1 configurator or our engineers will help you build the complete chain.

Is a nitrogen generator suitable for laser cutting?

Yes — for laser cutting we build a high-purity (99.999%), high-pressure configuration with a booster compressor. It is one of the most common projects in our practice.
