Installed and commissioned:
- Oxygen generators, 3 sets, with 34m³/h capacity and 95% purity – INMATEC Germany
- Screw compressor EKO 45 CD – EKOMAK, 3 units
- Air dryer CAD 170 – CALYPSO, 3 units
- Air tanks
- Piping
The challenge
Batumi Republican Hospital is one of the largest clinics in the region. It needed its own oxygen source, one that would hold up at peak load and would not depend on cylinder deliveries.
The solution
- Oxygen generators — INMATEC (Germany) · 3 sets · 34 m³/h · purity 95%
- Screw compressors — EKOMAK EKO 45 CD · 3 units
- Air dryers — CALYPSO CAD 170 · 3 units
- Air receivers
- Pipework
Why three independent sets
This is the key engineering decision in the project. Instead of one large generator, three independent lines were built, each with its own compressor and dryer.
In a hospital, an interruption in oxygen supply is unacceptable. In a three-module scheme, taking one line down for service or a fault stops only a third of the system while the other two keep running. With a single large machine, the same event would leave the entire clinic without oxygen.
A purity of 95% is the standard level for medical oxygen. The remainder in PSA-produced oxygen is mainly argon, an inert gas that is harmless to the patient.
The result
The hospital has an autonomous, redundant oxygen system delivering 34 m³/h per line, with its own air preparation.
