One more Successful Project at Wine plant.
Installed:
Compressor: ALMIG (Germany) Screw Compressor 37kw. 6.5m3/min / 13 Bar
Air Dryer: ALMIG (Germany) ALM 525
Aluminum Pipeline: AIRCOM (Italy)
The challenge
The winery needed compressed air at an elevated pressure of 13 bar. That is well above the usual 7 to 8 bar and calls for separate selection.
The solution
- Screw compressor — ALMIG (Germany) · 37 kW · 6.5 m³/min · 13 bar
- Air dryer — ALMIG ALM 525
- Aluminium pipework — AIRCOM
Why 13 bar is a separate question
Pressure is the most expensive parameter in compressed air. Every additional bar raises electricity consumption by roughly 6 to 7 percent. In a 13 bar system, two mistakes therefore become especially costly: choosing a higher pressure than needed, and leaking air.
That is why the compressor in this project is matched exactly to the required pressure, and the pipework is aluminium. An aluminium system is assembled with fittings rather than welds, is smooth on the inside and does not corrode, which reduces both leakage and pressure loss along the run.
The dryer is mandatory here: at higher pressure, moisture in the air condenses more readily.
The result
The plant has stable 13 bar air on a dry, clean line, with predictable energy cost.
