The challenge
Feromed Clinic needed its own oxygen source, but not a large hospital-scale system. Here the requirement was compactness and purity rather than maximum volume.

Why a scroll and oil-free compressor
This is the key decision in the project. A scroll compressor works with two spirals: one fixed, one orbiting eccentrically, compressing the air progressively. It has virtually no rubbing surfaces that would require oil lubrication.
For medical oxygen this is critical. Oil vapour in the air path is unacceptable, and an oil-free machine eliminates that risk by design rather than through a filter that could become saturated or be replaced late.
The second reason is noise. A scroll compressor is one of the quietest types, which is a direct practical advantage in a clinical environment where the plant room sits close to the wards.
The result
The clinic received a compact, quiet, oil-free oxygen system: 15 m³/h at 95% purity, with autonomy matched to its size.
