The challenge
The Kvareli winery needed nitrogen to protect its wine: for tank blanketing, for purging lines and for transferring wine. Given the scale of the cellar, demand is uneven. It rises sharply during harvest and bottling, and is minimal the rest of the time.

Why a 10,000 litre nitrogen receiver
This is the central engineering decision in the project. A large nitrogen receiver lets the generator run steadily and slowly, while peak demand is covered from the vessel. The result:
- the generator is sized for average rather than peak demand, so a smaller and cheaper model is enough;
- the number of cycles falls, which extends the life of the zeolite;
- pressure on the filling line stays stable even when several consumers draw at once.
The 1,000 litre air receiver sits after the compressor on the same logic: it smooths pressure fluctuations and gives the generator a stable inlet supply.
The result
The cellar has its own nitrogen source with reserve capacity, uninterrupted even at harvest peak. Ordering, receiving and storing cylinders has disappeared from the process entirely.
